Whew ……now here I am in the K-zoo. I’m from Chicago originally. Born in
1971 and I started drawing about the time I could hold a pencil. I was
about 12 when I decided to become a comic artist. Man, I practiced day
and night, bought books, went to comic conventions, lived, breathed,
and ate art. It was all I wanted out of life. It was the only thing that
made me happy. I don’t know why, but, I guess growing up as a kid, I
never really had much, but I could always afford a pencil and paper,
I just made the best outta what I had. At the age of 19 is when I landed
a job at Marvel Comics penciling and inking backgrounds for Bill Reinhold,
I was privileged enough to work on titles like “Sprits of Vengeance”,
”Wolverine”, and “Dare Devil”. I picked up tattooing as a hobby, at about
21, while I was still drawing comics. And about 25 I got my first job
tattooing at a shop in Chicago. And been doing it professionally since.
Now I found myself in this beautiful town called Kalamazoo, Mi, working
at an awesome shop with awesome people. |
